The 8110 TRICON system is a modern programmable logic and process controller that provides a high level of system fault tolerance. It can serve as an interlocking protection system for petrochemical production plants and achieve emergency shutdown of the plant. For the V9 TRICON system, there are three forms of racks: main rack, expansion rack, and remote extension rack. The main rack is at most 30m away from the expansion rack, and at most 2km away from the remote extension rack. The system includes at most one main rack, eight expansion racks, and six remote extension racks, supporting a total of 118 sets of input/output modules or communication modules, with a maximum number of points; 2048 digital input points, 1024 digital output points, 1024 analog input points, 512 analog output points, and 80 pulse input points. The communication module of 81 10 can not only be connected to Modbus devices and Distributed Control Systems (DCS), but also to external hosts through peer-to-peer or 802,3 networks. The 8110 TRICON system achieves fault tolerance through the Triple Redundancy Structure (TMR). The system has three identical branches, each of which can independently execute control programs and work in parallel with the other two channels. The dedicated software and hardware mechanisms can perform a "two out of three voting" on 1/0. Please refer to the triple structure diagram of the ITRICON controller.
