The MVME5100 is a high-performance single-board computer from MOTOROLA that is based on the PowerPlus II VME architecture and designed for a single VMEbus slot to achieve ultra-high computing level performance.

The computer features an integrated PCI bridged memory controller ASIC that significantly improves memory performance, including memory read bandwidth of 582MB/s and burst write bandwidth of 640MB/s. In addition, the PowerPlus II architecture supports a full PCI throughput of 264MB/s, ensuring that the processor does not run out of memory to compromise performance.

The MVME5100 motherboard comes with a variety of processor options, including the MPC7410, MPC750, and MPC755 microprocessors, all with 32KB L1 cache and support for a 100 MHz front end bus. The motherboard also offers a 32/64-bit PMC expansion slot, as well as up to 17MB of flash memory to meet the storage needs of complex applications.
